Warrington Wolves were once more cut to shreds by Wakefield Trinity yesterday afternoon.
The Wolves went down 16-12 to Trinity after running into a 12-0 lead, with boos ringing out at the Halliwell Jones Stadium at full-time.
Head coach Daryl Powell has now lost four games in a row after winning his first three games as Warrington boss and Premier Sports pundit Eorl Crabtree reveals the big and difficult job that former Castleford Tigers boss Powell now has on his hands to turn things around.
“I think the middle players put little passers between themselves, they’ve got no go forward which made it pretty much impossible,” Crabtree said live on Premier Sports.
“They are pretty poor in defence and defensively both teams weren’t brilliant.
“Warrington need to work out a better way of attacking and Daryl Powell has got to realise how his players react the best.
“He’s learning the hard way – he’s got all this talent around him and doesn’t quite know how to use it.”
Warrington now face Hull KR in the next round of Super League as they attempt to stem a losing run of four games, whilst Wakefield will host Wigan Warriors in the Challenge Cup Quarter-Finals in a fortnight’s time.
