England rugby union star Mike Brown invited by Richard Agar and Sean Long to Leeds Rhinos camp

Hull KR vs Wigan Warriors

Richard Agar, Sean Long and the Leeds Rhinos team invited former England rugby union star Mike Brown to Headingley to monitor the club’s preparations for today’s clash against Salford Red Devils.

Leeds have had numerous links with rugby union stars in the past, including the likes of Kyle Eastmond and Marcus Smith, the latter whom was also invited to take part in a training session.

And, now it’s the turn of Brown who has been capped 72 times by England rugby union.

“Thanks to Rich Agar Sean Long and the Leeds Rhinos for allowing me into their environment today. Players and staff were so welcoming,” Brown posted on LinkedIn.

“I took so much from the day, observing them in their final prep of the week before they play Salford and having the opportunity to spend time and chat with Rich about his role at Leeds, his experiences in Rugby League, recruitment models, recruitment creativity, player pathway, playing identity, balancing a DOR & Head Coach role, managing up and more.

“A great day of learning for me.”

It remains to be seen whether Brown would go into coaching or stay playing with the Newcastle Falcons.
