England international Reece Lyne commits long-term future to Wakefield

Wakefield Trinity star and England international Reece Lyne has signed a new contract with the West Yorkshire club.

Lyne – who has signed up until the end of 2025 – recently made his 200th Trinity appearance, so this deal will take the centre into a decade at the Mobile Rocket Stadium, something he is enormously proud to achieve.

“To be able to continue at Wakefield is really pleasing and I’m extremely excited,” said Lyne.

“I would like to thank Michael and the board for the faith they have shown in me. I have been here nine seasons now and loved every minute of it.

“As a person, and a player, I have evolved massively and I owe the club a great deal for that, which is one of the reasons I have committed for longer.”

Lyne made just eight appearance for Hull between 2010 and 2012 before moving to Belle Vue in 2012. And, the 28-year-old hasn’t looked back since, earning England caps whilst at Trinity.
