Eight of the best attacks in Super League history including the only two teams to score 1100 points

Super League is the home to the entertainers, expansive rugby is played again and again over in the Super League.

But which teams have had the best attacks in the competition’s history?

Here are eight of the best:

Warrington Wolves – 2011
Warrington Wolves under Tony Smith in 2011 were one of the best teams in Super League history yet never lifted the Grand Final. The Wolves had one of the best defences in history as well one of the finest attacks scoring 1072 points.

Leeds Rhinos – 2004
As Leeds Rhinos stormed to the Grand Final in 2004, they had one of the most exciting and enjoyable attacks in Super League history. They were only the second team to score 1000 points including 70 points against St Helens.

Bradford Bulls – 2001
The first team to register 1000 points came in 2001 when the Bulls scored 1120 during the regular season and then scored 37 points – the most ever – in the Grand Final against Wigan Warriors.

Leeds Rhinos, St Helens and Bradford Bulls – 2005
In 2005, Leeds, St Helens and Bradford all scored over 1000 points. The only season where more than one side scored more 1000 points. Leeds’ attack was the best ever in terms of points scored as they crossed for 1152 points.

Wigan Warriors – 2012
In 2012 Wigan Warriors stormed to the League Leaders’ Shield scoring 994 points finishing the season a converted try away from 1000. They then beat Catalans 46-6 in the play-offs.

Castleford Tigers – 2017
Castleford Tigers battered the likes of Leeds and Wigan in 2017 as they stormed to the League Leaders’ Shield. They scored a total of 965 points as they set the league alight/

Leeds Rhinos – 2015
10 years after Leeds registered the highest total in Super League history, the Rhinos were back to their attacking best in 2015 with many of the same players as they scored 944 points.

Wigan Warriors – 2010
As Wigan won 22 of their 27 league games in 2010 to finish top for the first time in 10 years they scored a whopping 922 as Michael Maguire’s new look attack caught the league by surpirse.
