Greg Eden is one of the stars of Super League.
But a question that is often is asked of rugby league players is are they fans and Eden addressed this on the Fully Game YouTube Channel.
Eden answered that question saying:
“There’s some players that are involved and because they do it so much they’re not really interested in watching the games, or they find it a bit boring.
“Because I’ve done it from that young I’m just interested in it. I like to see other lads who are doing well or compare myself to people, I just like watching it.
“I used to be big into the NRL as well, but I don’t watch it as much now.”
Asked: “It’s a better spectacle isn’t it?”
Eden went on to say that it is miles better saying that the commentary and other aspects are superior in the NRL: “It’s loads better with the commentary and everything, just the way they hype it up. Then again there’s loads more money so they can afford to do it.”
Asked about fighting in the NRL:
“Not really. Origin was best for that, al the old videos that pop up on Facebook are class to watch. They don’t really let you get away with it now, it’s all safety rules.
“Some players are playing for it now to try and get a penalty, it’s not as much like football but you can see what they’re trying to do. Players will pretend or double move their selves just to try and get a penalty out of it, but it’s not the way of the game really.”
