Eddie Hemmings has suggested Hull FC could be in danger of relegation.

The Black and Whites have lost seven games in a row the latest being to Leeds Rhinos and now Hemmings has suggested on the Eddie and Stevo podcast that they could be in trouble.

“Hull are on a downward spiral, they are in a real mess. Reports of 20 players off contract this year.

“I just wonder if Tony Smith is the new Daryl Powell of 2023. Could Hull go down because they are on the slide.”

Paul Cooke has also had his say on whether Hull FC are in danger of relegation.

The former Hull FC star has spoken out on social media after Hull suffered their seventh consecutive defeat.

The Black and Whites sit 11th at present four points clear of bottom placed club Wakefield Trinity.

Responding to a fan on Twitter, Cooke believes Hull are in no danger of relegation because of Wakefield’s woes.

He said:

“With all respect that’s a reply from complete frustration and because of the results that are not good enough to you, all Hull FC fans and rightly so. But with respect to Wakefield (sadly but honestly I’m my eyes) save every team in 2023 from relegation.”
