Eddie and Stevo are set to return to the microphones once more in 2022.
They were the iconic sporting commentator duo that worked together for over three decades on Sky Sports, and, back in November last year, the pair headed the Warrington Wolves for the ‘Eddie and Stevo – The Podcast Live’ special event.
Hemmings took part in his last Sky Sports commentary on Good Friday back in 2019 when St Helens romped home to a 36-10 victory over local rivals Wigan Warriors.
Mike ‘Stevo’ Stephenson, meanwhile, hung up his microphone back in October 2016 after playing professional rugby league for Dewsbury and then the Penrith Panthers in Australia.
But, the podcast has been given the green light by sponsors Betfred in what will be a welcome return for the duo, who many have missed on their formerly regular spot on Thursday and Friday nights.
The podcast’s Twitter page tweeted: “We’re delighted to announce, we’ll be back again in February – in time for the start of the new season! Our good friends @Betfred have agreed to sponsor us once more so we’re looking forward to being back with you all!”
