Catalans Dragons forward Dylan Napa has been handed a four-match ban for a shoulder charge in Catalans Dragons’ defeat to St Helens.

The RFL tweeted: “Catalans Dragons forward Dylan Napa has been charged with Grade D Striking.

“Napa pleaded Guilty to a lower charge of a reckless high tackle, but the Tribunal found him Guilty of the original charge.

“Napa has been handed a four-match ban and a £500 fine.”

He becomes the second Catalans Dragons man to be banned tonight with Gil Dudson also receiving a three-match ban earlier on in the night for punching.

That means that, added to Julian Bousquet’s broken arm, the Dragons will be without three of their big-hitters for this weekend’s home fixture against Wakefield Trinity.

Dudson was sinbinned in the first minute after hitting out at Joe Batchelor on the floor whilst Napa was shown a red card in the dying stages after shoulder charging Mark Percival as the latter ran the ball out of defence.
