Catalans have made three major signings going into 2022 as they look to go one step further than they did last season.
The Dragons came up just short in the 2021 Grand Final losing 12-10 to St Helens despite finishing the regular season top of the table after producing their best ever Super League season.
There were some fears that James Maloney’s departure after that Grand Final defeat would spell the end of their time at the top of the table however the Dragons have since made three major signings from Australia bringing in three former NRL Champions.
Mitchell Pearce was signed as Maloney’s direct replacement whilst Dylan Napa and Tyrone May soon followed suit joining from Canterbury and Penrith respectively adding some real depth and quality to the Dragons’ squad.
As the French side prepare for another assault on the Super League title, they have been boosted by the arrival of two of their three signings in the last few days.
Yesterday, Mitchell Pearce landed in France and took part in his first training session and today Catalans revealed on social media that Dylan Napa had arrived in the South of France.

Arriving so early in the year will give both the perfect opportunity to get into the thick of pre-season training to prepare for what Catalans hope will be a huge season for the club.
Both could very well feature in the first French derby of the year when Catalans play Toulouse in a pre-season friendly whilst the pair will be in line to make their Super League debuts in the Round One Grand Final rematch against St Helens at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
