Dragons to train with Roosters

Catalans Dragons will host the Sydney Roosters in a joint-training session in Barcelona on Tuesday.

The NRL Champions will face St Helens in the World Club Challenge and will spend some days in the Catalunya capital before joining the UK.

There are many connections between the two clubs: Trent Robinson was the Dragons head coach from 2011 to 2012.

Many Catalans players also played for the Roosters. Sam Moa, James Maloney, Samisoni Langi, Jason Baitieri, Rémi Casty all played for the NRL premiers at some point. Dragons Head coach Steve McNamara was also the Roosters’ assistant coach from 2013 to 2016.

The Roosters face Super League champions St Helens on 22nd February at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
