Double-figure absentees for one Super League club ahead of this weekend’s fixtures

Hull FC remain without at least ten first-team players due to injury or COVID-related issues for their game at Huddersfield with star halfback Josh Reynolds one of them.

Hull have already had to postpone games against Leigh and bitter rivals Hull KR due to a recent COVID outbreak at the club, with Reynolds one of those who tested positive for the virus – he will still sit out Thursday’s fixture.

“It’s just come a day or two too early for him,” Hodgson said.

“Most of the players are back in barring two or three that are either still in isolation or going through their return to play protocol,” Hodgson said.

“But we’ll still be without at least six of those who’ve come back in this week, and with the injuries we’ve got too, we’ll still be ten or eleven players short in our squad. We’re still really thin.”
