“Do something!” – Apoplectic Castleford Tigers fans call for change

The last fortnight has been very concerning for Castleford Tigers and a far departure from their win over Warrington Wolves which didn’t come long after their win over Leeds Rhinos.

They have lost their last two games to Leigh Leopards and St Helens and there is no disgrace in losing to the sides second and third in the table.

But the trouble comes through the fact Wakefield Trinity have now won three of their last four against Leeds Rhinos, Salford Red Devils and now lately Wigan Warriors in a Golden Point classic.

This leaves just a two point gap between the two and the Tigers are now in genuine danger.

Their fans certainly think so.

One felt like the players don’t fight for the full 80 minutes as he was one of many to open up about the Tigers’ struggles.

One fan asked if the club could bring back cult hero Grant Millington.

Meanwhile another fan accused the club of “apathy” as they “sleepwalk” into relegation.

Another supporter threatened not coming to watch another game unless serious change was enacted.

One fan was very polite in their assessment but implored the club to “DO SOMETHING.”

Lastly, one fan summed up the defeat and their situation as “embarrassing.”

The Tigers need to rediscover some momentum but their wins over Leeds and Warrington have shown they can.

They take on Wakefield in what could be a do or die clash at Belle Vue next month.
