Players from Leeds Rhinos, Hull FC, Hull KR, Leigh Leopards and others stars have all landed in hot water with the Match Review Panel after the latest round of action.

In fact a total 16 players were charged from the last round of fixtures but only two players were banned for their offences from the last round.

Hull FC star Carlos Tuimavave is one of the two players to be banned receiving a two match ban for a dangerous throw.

The other was Michael McIlorum for a late hit on John Asiata.

McIlorum could have had another ban for a dangerous tackle on Rob Mulhern but was only cited.

Interestingly, Mulhern was criticised for his part in the tackle with some believing he tried to make it look worse to get McIlorum in trouble.

Former official Ian Smith though revealed that he thought it would be looked at by the Match Review Panel.

Meanwhile, Jon Wilkin believed he dipped his head intentionally to try and get McIlorum sent off.

He said: “Rob Mulhern knows what he is doing there. He has put himself into a dangerous position to put McIlorum on the officials radar.”

The Match Review Panel didn’t have the same opinion however with Mulhern not having any to say on the matter.
