Dewsbury and Huddersfield friendly hit with crazy fog

Dewsbury Rams and Huddersfield Giants are presently battling in a pre-season friendly for Michael Knowles’ testimonial, but the game is difficult for those playing and those watching due to the fog.

On a freezing cold afternoon in Dewsbury it’s been pointed out on Twitter just how foggy the game at the Tetley’s Stadium is with parts of the pitch unable to be seen from certain angels.

Huddersfield legend Eorl Crabtree was the first to point it out posting a picture which shows the half of the field furthest away from him greatly obscured by the fog. The image also reveals that the floodlights are on despite the fact the game is being played in the afternoon.

Then the Huddersfield Twitter page themselves pointed it out with an image of their own showing just how foggy it is with the floodlights in the background of the image almost unnoticeable.

It didn’t stop the Giants from opening the scores however. Former Wigan man Joe Greenwood scored their first try of 2022 in the 30th minute giving them a 6-0 lead. However, Dewsbury have gone into the break level thanks to an Andy Gabriel try on the back of a Alex Smith 40/20.
