Details finally confirmed for huge Challenge Cup clash

The Challenge Cup trophy at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the game.

Many of the Sixth Round Challenge Cup ties have had set dates for around a week now.

TV games were quickly confirmed with Leeds Rhinos hosting Wigan Warriors on BBC on Saturday 20th May before the BBC shows Castleford Tigers vs Hull FC on the Sunday.

Meanwhile on Friday night Viaplay are showing the meeting between Championship side Halifax Panthers take on Super League and World Champions St Helens.

They then show the meeting between Salford Red Devils and Huddersfield Giants on the Saturday.

Elsewhere, on Friday night Hull KR meet Batley Bulldogs and on Sunday York RLFC take on London Broncos in the only all Championship tie.

But one of the biggest games of the round remained unconfirmed as second place Warrington Wolves head to fourth place Catalans Dragons just a few weeks after their fiery meeting in France over Easter in Rivals Round.

It was a sensational game overshadowed by a red card for Warrington’s Gil Dudson on his return to the South of France and his former club after a punch on Tom Johnstone.

Now though details for the game has been confirmed.

The game will take place on the 20th May at 5pm UK time which is 6pm local time.

There is no TV coverage of the game.

It is a repeat of the 2018 Challenge Cup Final which saw Catalans become the first non-British side to win the trophy.

Hopefully it gives Wolves fans enough time to arrange travel.
