There are few as outspoken or dedicated to the game of rugby league than Leigh Centurions owner Derek Beaumont.
Love him or hate him, Beaumont has given the Leigh club tremendous service over the years with the 2021 Super League season perhaps one to forget.
However, sometimes his passion spills over onto Twitter and, whilst quite obviously goaded by a Wakefield fan, launched an impassioned defence of his side.
Beaumont had defended his right to take potential legal action against Toulouse for the fact that the French side has played a meagre amount of fixtures in the Championship as compared to the rest of their challengers.
Lad, your teams absolutely shite, enjoy the championship x

Beaumont responded:”Oh dear not sure how that makes wakefield look! I am sure they won’t take offence thanks for your opinion of my team it means so much to me and will model how I work forwards! Baaaaaaaa.”

I’m not one of the Twiitterati myself -(anti)social media cause more trouble than they’re worth – but perhaps if guttersites like Twitter forced people to use their real names instead of hiding behind pseudonyms there’d be fewer brainless, offensive posts like this one.
