David Argyle responds after Swinton player accuses him of racism

David Argyle has released a statement in response to the tweet by Jose Kenga accusing him of racism.

The Swinton prop spoke out about comments made to him by Toronto’s owner following the Lions match in Canada at the end of April, believing his words had been swept under the carpet.

Kenga says that as he approached Argyle, he asked him “do they allow black people in Swinton?” before laughing and handing over a drink token.

And following the revelation, Argyle has taken to Toronto’s social media accounts to release a statement and issue an apology to Kenga and Swinton Lions.

See the statement below and the initial tweet by Kenga at the bottom.
