It was confirmed earlier in the week that both Oliver Holmes and Peter Mata’utia would be leaving Castleford at the end of 2021 and Daryl Powell was quizzed live on Sky Sports about whether the duo would be following him to Warrington.
“I’m not going to comment on that, they are high quality players and they have been great for this club,” Powell said in a coy fashion.
“Sport is sport and people always move on, but those boys will give their all to Castleford until the end of the year.”
That interview was given before Castleford’s 30-12 defeat to Hull FC on Thursday night.
