Daryl Powell opens up on Warrington Wolves’ home fans

After a difficult season in 2022 and an 11th placed finish, 2023 is Warrington Wolves’ chance to change things and get back to the top of Super League after Daryl Powell has drafted in some key signings.

The Wolves are hoping to return to the top six after finishing in the top four in four consecutive seasons.

As he hopes to spark this kind of success again, Powell spoke to WireTV about impressing the home crowd in 2023.

“We talked a bit about our home form and engaging our fans and get them behind us and showing them how much we care,” he said.

“Our home form is really important to us especially starting at home in the first game in Super League it is a big game for us.

“We don’t want to put too much onto it. The important thing for us is that the fans believe in us this year. We believe in them. We have a real connectivity and we have a great chance of that.

“I was at a question and answer session and someone asked about hard work and we can’t be questioning that, it has to be coming out of our pores, every player, every game.

“I think with have a team that can show the fans that and from there we can see how good of a team we have.”
