Daryl Powell hails star ahead of 250th Castleford appearance

Nathan Massey is basically part of the furniture at Castleford, having first debuted in 2007.

After having loan spells at the likes of Featherstone and York, the forward settled into the Tigers’ side, becoming one of the first names on the teamsheet.

And, Massey has been hailed by his head coach Daryl Powell ahead of what will be his 250th Castleford appearance.

“He’s been phenomenal this year; obviously throughout his career he’s been fantastic for Castleford.

“He’s a top quality ‘fella’, he’s tough and one of our best – if not the best – front-rower for us this season.

“I’m really delighted for him and for Oliver Holmes as it will be his 200th career appearance this weekend too.

“We want to make it a good day for them and make sure the players enjoy those days when they do come around.”
