Daryl Powell gives recruitment update

With Sosaia Feki out for most – if not all of the 2021 season – a potential wing recruit may well have been on Castleford head coach Daryl Powell’s mind.

However, the Tigers boss has dismissed claims that he is looking in the market, “we’re happy with what we’ve got at the moment,” Powell stated.

“We had a little bit of a look around initially, but there’s not an awful lot there.

“Anybody we would want to bring in, we’d want them to improve us and you’ve got minimal time to get them into the squad and then into the team.

“That would be pretty tough, so we’re going to go with what we’ve got.

“James Clare will potentially be there in round 3 or round 4, but I’m happy with how we look.”
