Daryl Clark gives honest opinion on Steve Price and Daryl Powell

Daryl Clark is one of the finest number nines in Super League – no one can dispute that.

Known for his quick sniping out of dummy-half and a tough, tenacious defence, Clark has been a key part of the Warrington Wolves side since making the move ahead of the 2015 Super League season.

And, having studied under head coach Steve Price for four years, the hooker had kind words to say about the departing Australian.

“I enjoyed my time under Pricey even though results weren’t always great, but we had some massive wins and the Challenge Cup win and the Lance Todd win under him stands out,” Clark told Serious About Rugby League.

“It’s something he played a massive part in for me and something that can never be taken away from us.”

The appointment of Daryl Powell as new head coach means that Clark will reunite with the man who managed him back in 2014 – when the Castleford Tigers reached the Challenge Cup final.

“I’ve worked with Powell a long time ago and that’s when I played my best rugby and won the Man of Steel.

“So, I’m hoping us working together again brings that out of me at a consistent level.”

Warrington needed to move on because to win a grand final has not happened. . All teams are doing the same new coaches and players ,its good for the game win or lose.
