Daryl Clark addresses Greg Inglis’ departure

Daryl Clark has addressed the departure of Greg Inglis following the latter’s decision to move back to his native Australia.

The world-renowned centre came back out of retirement to sign for the Wolves ahead of the 2021 season in what was an incredible move.

Unfortunately for Inglis and the Wire, the Aussie made just three appearances, scoring two tries in the process, before succumbing to injury.

That injury left Inglis fighting for his rugby league career once more – something which, this time, could not be overcome.

Instead, the 34-year-old hung up his boots for good towards the back end of the 2021 season, taking up a voluntary role at the Halliwell Jones, before announcing he would be leaving for Down Under.

Clark said: “Pleasure meeting you and the missus mate, have a safe trip home” with a love heart and goat emoji.

The latter, for those that do not know, is to symbolise the acronym GOAT – the Greatest Of All Time.
