Warrington Wolves lost last night for the fifth game in a row away at Hull KR.
They were down 20-0 at one stage before mounting somewhat of a comeback to go down 34-18, but it was far away from the performance head coach Daryl Powell would have liked.
And, for star hooker Danny Walker, the result prompted an apology, but also a defiant statement.
Walker tweeted: “Can only apologise to the fans for what’s being dished up at the minute, we need to learn our lessons & learn them fast to get ourselves out of the situation we are in. We all as a collective need to stick together & keep graftin away and it’ll come.”
“Thanks to the loyal fans still turnin up & backin us, we need use now more than we ever have. As for the handful of ends giving lads all sorts of including some telling lads to die. Be best for both sides if use just didn’t support us again. Anyway, have a nice weekend.”

Warrington will not have a game next weekend with it being the Challenge Cup Quarter-Finals, giving Powell a fortnight to work with his troops in a bid to inspire some kind of difference.
