With COVID rampant it was perhaps only a matter of time before the virus spread around the game.
And, now two members of the NRL’s referee squad have been deemed contacts of a COVID case, meaning the Canterbury-Sydney game will be officiated by Thursday night’s referees.
Thursday night's match officials have been called in to control tonight's Bulldogs-Roosters clash after 2 members of the NRL referee's squad were deemed casual contacts of a COVID-19 case. They are being tested and as a precaution Adam Gee, Peter Gough & David Munro will back up.
