COVID-19 threatens yet another Super League fixture

Salford Red Devils were forced to postpone training in preparation for their fixture against Hull KR and the Hull Daily Mail has revealed that this clash is now in jeopardy.

Salford had gone down 38-16 against Leeds last weekend, but the Red Devils have apparently been left with 15 available players.

Hull KR, meanwhile, finally ended a five-week drought without a game, narrowly falling to a 32-30 defeat to Catalans at the weekend.

And, Rovers had a scheduled three games in nine days after seeing six fixtures called off along the way, but Salford players are expected to test again in order to ensure the fixture can be completed.

Hull KR currently sit in sixth, but they have played just 11 games in 2021 – three less than Salford.
