Aston joins Bradford on loan

Leeds Rhinos half-back Cory Aston has joined Bradford Bulls on a one-month loan.

The 22-year-old has been released from his season-long loan at Featherstone Rovers having not featured for them since the Summer Bash.

Aston will go straight into the Bulls line-up for this weekend’s game against Hull KR, and he is looking forward to the challenge.

“I’m really happy that I’ve been given the opportunity to move here,” he said. “I had my first training session today with the boys and really ripped in.

“It was a great session, the boys are all really positive and easy to get on with. They really make you feel at home.

“Obviously Geoff (Toovey) has his fair share of experience playing in the halves, so it was great to learn from him for the first time. I’m really looking forward to working with him over the next few weeks.”
