St Helens fullback Lachlan Coote has picked up a suspected MCL injury during his side’s 48-8 win over Salford Red Devils on Friday.

Head Coach Kristian Woolf confirmed the suspicions in his post-match press conference, and said the club would wait to see the extent of the injury.

He said: “We need to get it scanned. We think it’s MCL at the moment.  But what grade and how long (he will be out for), we wont know until the swelling has gone down a little bit and we get some scans.”

Coote had already had an impact on the game, as he kicked three goals out of three, to set Saints on the road to victory.
