Despite being contracted for next year, Hull FC centre Arthur Romano is expected to leave the club and make a switch back to his former Super League club Catalans Dragons.
That has been reported by French publication L’Independant with Arthur set to follow teammate Amir Bourouh and sign for Les Dracs, who are obviously coached by former Hull FC boss John Cartwright.
Serious About Rugby League had reported in early August suggestions that Romano had not settled in England as well as had been hoped, with his injury status at the time not helping the matter.
Andy Last would respond to those reports, stating: “Not from the way he goes about his business or the way that he trains but it is difficult. I spent 12 months at Catalans, being away from family and Arthur has obviously got a young family so the family pull is a tough one.”

Catalans Dragons target Hull FC centre
News of Romano potentially being unsettled at Hull FC emerged at the same time that it was put forward that Bourouh would leave for Catalans, though it was then expected to be in a player swap for centre Solomona Faataape who would ultimately sign for St Helens.
Since missing out on Faataape, Hull FC have signed overseas pair Jordan Swann and Junior Pauga, both of whom can play in the centres, meaning they would have depth if Romano is to leave as reported.
Per the report from L’Independent, Catalans are working on a deal to bring Romano back to France with the centre set to be the latest in a long list of recruits.
In terms of those officially confirmed, Catalans have announced the signings of the aforementioned Bourouh, as well as Jesse Arthars, Tyson Gamble and Luciano Leilua, whilst it’s also expected that they will sign Joe Burgess, NRL prop Hame Sele and Alex Mellor, following his release from Castleford Tigers.
