Leeds Rhinos have confirmed that Super League Man of Steel finalist Lachie Miller has penned a one-year extension on his current contract, tying him to the club until the end of the 2028 season.
Miller is one of seven overseas players on the club’s books currently, whilst a further three have been signed for 2027. Of the seven currently on the books, one man’s future looks to lie elsewhere and three more are only contracted until the end of next year.
Following Miller’s confirmed new deal, which extends his contract from the end of 2027 to the end of 2028, we’ve looked at the contract status of all of the club’s overseas players – of which any Super League club can have a maximum of ten.

Leeds Rhinos’ overseas contract status
Incoming signings for 2027 are named in italics
2026: Jeremiah Mata’utia*
Leeds do have an option to extend Mata’utia’s contract to the 2027 season but it’s been widely stated by those at the club that the forward will depart after just one year. He’s spent the majority of the season either out on loan or playing in the reserves side and his future lay elsewhere for 2027.
2027: Danny Levi, Jack Bird, and Maika Sivo
Two of this pairing are currently confirmed as out injured whilst Maika Sivo is all of a sudden a doubt for the play-off semi-final against Warrington, however, all three all locked in for 2027 and they’re expected to play big roles.
2028: Cooper Jenkins, Edenn Rogers-Smith, and Lachie Miller
Cooper Jenkins has been one of the best props in Super League this season whilst Rogers-Smith made an impact at Catalans that led to the Rhinos signing him to a two-year deal. Miller, as aforementioned, has just penned this contract extension.
2029: Dylan Walker and Keenan Palasia
Walker was Leeds’ first overseas signing for 2027 and they went big, signing him to a three-year deal with his versatility a huge boost for the Rhinos. He’s locked in till the end of 2029 just like prop Keenan Palasia.
2030: Nick Cotric
Another of the club’s signings from Catalans Dragons. Outside back Nick Cotric can play at either centre or winger and is among the best offloaders in Super League, something that’s seen the club hand him a four-year deal.
Super League Man of Steel nominee Lachie Miller has agreed a contract extension clause that will see the Australian remain at AMT Headingley until at least the end of the 2028 season.
