Concern for Super League sides as title challengers set for huge triple boost

It could be worrying times for Super League clubs with one of the title challengers set for a massive triple boost.

That is Hull KR who this week could have two star players back against Salford Red Devils with one more not far behind.

Lachlan Coote could feature at the Magic Weekend this week confirmed Willie Peters:

“Yeah so he’s working towards being back this week. He’s training well and we’re hopeful he’ll take his place this weekend.

“It’s been four weeks so he’s been out for four weeks for three games and it was unfortunate for him and unfortunate for us that he has been out.

“But he’s worked hard to put himself in the picture again for this week. We’re hopeful that he’ll be okay to play. There’s no doubt that it’s a position at the moment that we’re lacking a little bit of depth in.

“He’s likely to play. He did a session today. We didn’t do the full session because that’s what we wanted to build him up. So we’ve got another session and the captain’s run and then he’ll be ready to go off the back of that. So at this stage, yeah, he’ll play.”

George King is the same according to the Robins boss:

“George King’s back this week. Yeah, so George will take his place this week and Lachlan, so those two will be big in’s for us this weekend. Well, George has been playing. So he’ll come back this week.

“He’s a player that can put a lot of games together. It’s unfortunate that he has had a couple that he missed. But as I say, you know what you’re going to get with George each week. Yeah, the boys enjoy playing with him and he’ll be a big addition to our team this weekend.”

Meanwhile, star halfback Jordan Abdull isn’t far behind:

“We are getting back to where we were previously with our full strength team. Obviously, Jordan’s the one that won’t be there this weekend.

“Everyone else is pretty much eligible to play and got their hand up to play and be selected.

“Jordan will hopefully be next week. Rowan Milnes is  a couple of weeks away.

“Obviously we lost both our number sevens in the space of those two-week periods, so we’ve done it a little bit tough in that area but Jez Litton certainly put his hand up and doing his best and he’ll continue to keep doing that.

“We know what Jez can do at nine but it was unfortunate to lose Jordan and then Rowan as well.

“So both those guys will be back. Jordan next week and then hopefully we’re looking at Rowan for the week after that.”
