Coach hit with hefty fine after blasting video referee

Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson has been fined $10,000 by the NRL for labelling the bunker “incompetent”.

The $10,000 fine is a suspended one on the proviso he refrains from reoffending.

Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has also been hit with an official warning letter after swearing at a press conference on Saturday.

Robinson said: “‘Don’t send a letter and then not back it up.

“That incident (with Brown and Hutchison) wasn’t good enough from the bunker and the referees.

“It’s ridiculous. That’s incompetent.”
