Club ties down a remarkable SIX players

Featherstone have announced contract extensions for SIX of their key first-team players.

Craig Kopczak, Brett Ferres, John Davies and Connor Jones have signed extensions for a year, taking them to the end of the 2022 season. Gareth Gale and Craig Hall have signed for another two years, taking them to the end of 2023.

Martin Vickers, CEO of Featherstone Rovers was over the moon to get the six tied down.

“All of these players have been instrumental in their own ways this year,” Vickers said.

“From on field leadership, to creativity on the park, and points on the board – all have made an outstanding contribution and we’re delighted that they are extending their time with us which will hopefully see them take the club into next year’s Super League competition.

“Mark Campbell and James Webster have worked together very well to put this squad together and the success on the field this year is testament to that work.”

Rovers lost for the first time in 2021 at the weekend, with Toulouse overcoming the West Yorkshire challenge, 23-6.
