Clark respects Sonny Bill sacrifice

30th January 2020, DW Stadium, Wigan, England; Betfred Super League, Wigan Warriors v Warrington Wolves : Jason Clark (14) of Warrington Wolves applauds the travelling supporters at the end of the game

Warrington Wolves forward Jason Clark has said he admires the sacrifice made by Sonny Bill Williams to return on Friday.

The Toronto star will return to the field for Friday’s clash, barely a week after the birth of his fourth child.

He said: “There is a lot of talk of Sonny Bill coming back for the game. For me, as a father, its massive for him to make that choice for his club and his team.

“Its a big sacrifice he’s making, to spend time with his new-born, to be able to come back and play that quick. It shows the type of person he is.

“He’s a brand of rugby league and a brand himself. He’s a big man and as much as he probably doesn’t like the limelight he’s getting, he takes it on the chin and does what he has to do because of the type of person he is.

“Toronto are a great club with some good players. It should be a really good competition and good for us with home advantage.”
