Chris Hill sent to the sinbin for foul play as Huddersfield Giants overcome Hull KR

Huddersfield Giants’ Chris Hill was sent to the sinbin in Huddersfield Giants’ victory over Hull KR.

Mikey Lewis had hacked on a loose ball on Huddersfield’s own 30-metre line and went on to show brilliant football skills to dot down, only to be challenged after the try had been scored by Hill.

Lewis squared up to Hill with the latter stretching his arm out in response and was sinbinned by referee Robert Hicks.

All in all, though, KR just weren’t good enough as Huddersfield look to be building something impressive under head coach Ian Watson after a disappointing 2021 campaign.

Huddersfield started their 2021 Super League season in the best possible fashion, hammering Toulouse Olympique in the south of France whilst Hull KR failed to overcome Wigan at Craven Park.

Lachlan Coote lost his battle for fitness as Will Dagger took the fullback spot for the visitors as Ricky Leutele and Jermaine McGillvary returned for Huddersfield, though there was no Michael Lawrence
