Chase suspended for cocaine use

Widnes Vikings’ Rangi Chase has been suspended for cocaine use following a drugs test after a recent game.

Widnes received the news of the half-back’s suspension today and Chase will no longer take part in training and playing activity.

The drugs test took place following the Vikings’ match against Wakefield Trinity.

In a statement, Widnes said: “The club fully respects this suspension and are currently reviewing this matter.”
