It’s been a busy few weeks for Huddersfield Giants.

Last week they announced that Leroy Cudjoe and Sam Hewitt had signed new deals on Sky Sports, they poached former Wigan youngster Harry Rushton from Canberra yesterday and have now pinned down another two players to new deals.

The news was announced by Warrington and Australia PDRL player Adam Hills who is the presenter on Channel 4 who revealed that Chris McQueen and Ash Golding have signed new deals to remain at Huddersfield long term.

It comes as Huddersfield prepare to take on Ian Watson’s former side Salford Red Devils live on Channel 4.

Golding signed for the Giants ahead of 2020 after coming through at Leeds but losing the fullback spot to Jack Walker at Headingley.

He has become something of Huddersfield’s Jack of all trades playing at fullback, on the wing, and even at nine.

Meanwhile, Chris McQueen has become one of Super League’s best backrowers since joining Huddersfield.

He’s the league’s leading try scoring forward and even picked up the Lance Todd trophy when Huddersfield lost to Wigan in the Challenge Cup Final at Tottenham earlier this year.

Some Giants fans were getting worried about the fact no news of his new deal had been revealed but they can now sleep easy now that he and Golding have signed new deals.

McQueen has signed a one-year extension whilst Golding’s new deal is a two-year extension meaning he’ll be at the club until the end of 2024.
