It has been another dramatic weekend in the Championship.
It all started in the capital as London Broncos had the beating of Barrow Raiders. It was a solid display by the Broncos who scored five tries with 18 of their points scored by the Leylands.
The drama on Saturday though came in West Yorkshire as Toulouse Olympique were beaten for the second week in a row.
Elliot Kear crossed for the Bulldogs as Huddersfield Giants loanee Aidan McGowan was key scoring a brace. That coupled with a late Josh Woods drop goal gave Batley a dramatic 17-16 win.
Today Halifax Panthers were the big winners as Lachlan Walmsley scored four tries in an impressive display as they ran in 11 tries against Whitehaven.
Featherstone Rovers were also comprehensive winners away at Widnes Vikings as they mainted their big lead at the top of the table. Gareth Gale notched the hat-trick.
It was a weekend of big scores and Sheffield Eagles had the game won at halftime away at Keighley Cougars leading 34-6 at the break.
They won 46-18 as former Leeds Rhinos, Salford Red Devils and Wakefield Trinity star Ben Jones-Bishop scored twice.
Bradford Bulls also notched 40 at home to Swinton Lions. In response to the departure of Mark Dunning this week, the Bulls led 26-8 at the break. Swinton clawed back brilliantly but a strong finish gave the Bulls a 44-38 win fending off a late comeback from the Lions just.
The close game of the day saw York RLFC fight back from a 22-14 deficit to defeat Newcastle Thunder 26-22.
