Championship RL Results: Amazing 20-point comeback and four try haul for former Hull KR man

Another fantastic weekend of Championship rugby is drawing to a close with one more game tomorrow in a huge play-off battle between York and Batley live on Premier Sports.

But turning back to the start of the week, Bradford and London battled it out last night.

Despite drawing level at the start of the second half through Flanagan, Bradford some what fell apart at home with the Broncos scoring three tries late on to take the game well and truly away from from the Bulls.

The victory was secured by Sam Hall before a great try from Moceidreke added icing on the cake to give the Broncos a superb win lifting them well away from danger into 11th spot.

Ultimately a comprehensive win for the Broncos, it threatened to be a close game but there were two games that were tight right up until the end today.

The first was Widnes’ win over Newcastle. Late on both sides were level at 26-26 trading drop goal attempts. Eventually Matt Fleming’s effort for Widnes gave the Vikings the lead.

Already the hero, his try in the penultimate minute wrapped a vital win up for John Kear’s side.

There was late drama too at Sheffield as Barrow battled back from a 32-12 deficit with 20 minutes to go to win 36-32 thanks to a 78th minute try from Tee Ritson after superb work from Hakim Miloudi.

The other games today were all fairly comprehensive wins. Featherstone saw off an early setback against Whitehaven which saw them trail 12-10 at the break to power to a 46-24 win with Morgan Smith scoring twice and Craig Hall kicking two conversions.

Title rivals Leigh had it much easier with a huge 60-6 win over Dewsbury who are now in serious trouble at the bottom of the league.

The Centurions had 10 different try scorers with Ben Reynolds the greedy one as the only player to cross twice. He also kicked three goals.

Elsewhere there was a brilliant win for Halifax despite their recent suspensions. They downed Workington 58-10 with former Hull KR man Joe Keyes notching four tries.

Halifax Panthers 58-10 Workington Town
