Championship players who could earn a Super League move with a strong 2023 season

The Championship is full of huge players and players ready to shine at the highest level.

We’ve seen the likes of Alex Walmsley, Zak Hardaker and Chris Hill start out in the Championship.

But which Championship players could earn a move to the Super League with a strong 2023 campaign?

Joe Keyes
The former Hull KR halfback has shown his absolute class in the Championship with Halifax Panthers last year. He underlined this by impressing NRL star Luke Keary in the Rugby League World Cup. Another strong season would see him chased after Super League clubs for sure.

AJ Wallace
The Bradford Bulls youngster has been chased by Hull FC and Castleford Tigers recently but a move didn’t happen. But as seen by the move of George Flanagan Jr to Huddersfield Giants, the Bulls youngster could very well secure a move to the Super League in 2024.

Caleb Aekins
The fullback shone for Leigh Leopards in 2022 and deserved to be a star of the Leopards’ Super League adventure. Instead he moved to Featherstone Rovers and could help them to Super League in 2023. But if he fails to lead them to Super League, he will likely earn a move to the top tier himself.
