The results from the latest round of Championship action are in as London Broncos continue to lead the way after another comfortable win.
The Broncos defeated Batley Bulldogs 64-12 on Saturday, with two tries from Wakefield loanee Nei Tchamambe helping them to the win. He was the only player to score more than once, with a total of 10 different players getting on the scoresheet.
The weekend started on Friday night, in a huge tie between Widnes and Oldham. The Roughyeds came out on top in that one, with Warrington loanee Ben Hartill helping them to a 28-10 win.
Goole Vikings defeated Rochdale Hornets 20-14 thanks to a late winner from Liam Watts, whilst Newcastle strolled to victory against Whitehaven, winning 50-6.
Doncaster secured an away win over Halifax Panthers as they emerged as 50-12 winners. Watson Boas scored twice, whilst former Hull FC winger Bureta Faraiamo also crossed for the Dons.
Swinton Lions travelled to West Yorkshire to face Keighley Cougars, and came away with the two points after a 40-18 victory. Harry Higham, son of Super League icon, Micky, got on the scoresheet.
The closest game of the round saw Barrow Raiders pull off a late comeback against Salford. The Cumbrian outfit won 22-20 after being 18-12 down at the break to maintain their third-place spot in the table.
Sheffield Eagles defeated Dewsbury Rams in a high-scoring affair. Craig Lingard’s side won 42-30, despite trailing 24-18 at the break. Former Castleford trio Greg Eden, Alex Foster and George Griffin all scored for the Eagles.
Lastly, Workington Town secured a home victory over Leeds-based outfit Hunslet. The win is only their fourth of the season.
