Championship halfbacks Dane Chisholm of Featherstone Rovers and Connor Robinson of York City Knights have been banned for the season opener.

Chisholm will miss the first three matches of the season, after being charged with a Grade C Dangerous Lift.

He was sin binned for the tackle on former teammate Luke Briscoe during his side’s 34-22 win over Leeds Rhinos.

The former Super League halfback will miss Rovers’ games against Batley Bulldogs, Halifax and Bradford Bulls.

As for Robinson, he was given a one-match penalty notice after being charged with a Grade B Striking Offence.

He was sent off after clashing with Elliott Culling during the Knights’ 6-4 defeat against Bradford at the Tetley’s Stadium in Dewsbury.

Robinson will miss the Knights’ opener against Toulouse.
