Championship forward charged for referee abuse

Swinton Lions forward Josh Barlow has been issued with a Grade D ‘questioning the integrity of a match official’ charge following last weekend’s match against Rochdale Hornets.

Barlow was sent off in the 77th minute for foul and abusive language.

Swinton currently sit bottom of the Championship table following the 25-18 defeat to the Hornets at Heywood Road.

If Barlow is hit with the maximum ‘Grade D’ (3-5 games) ban, he will miss matches against Rochdale Hornets, Dewsbury Rams, London Broncos, Featherstone Rovers and Halifax.
