Championship club struggling for Board Members as they issue SOS

Whitehaven have released a statement as they struggle for board members after recent resignations.

They have called on shareholders who can help the board.

They had already done so but had little response so have reaffirmed their offer.

They made the following statement on social media:

“As most of you are probably aware, the number of people on the Board has significantly decreased over the last 12 months.

“With the recent resignation of Gary Eilbeck as an active board member, after many years of dedicated service, it has left us with limited people and time to run a semi professional rugby league club.

“At the shareholders meeting in February, a request was made for any volunteers who could help the board to come forward. So far, we have had very little response.

“The Board would like to firstly invite any shareholders who feel they can help the board carrying out different roles and tasks to support the day to day and weekly running of the club. More information will be given to anyone who expresses an interest.

“If any shareholders feel they can help, please email admin@whitehavenrl.co.uk we will then arrange a meeting to discuss the options. Thankyou Whitehaven RLFC BoD.”
