Championship club forced to warn fans ahead of today’s game

Whitehaven

Halifax Panthers have been forced to issue a warning to their supporters about fake links to a live stream of today’s game.

The Panthers are looking to get back on track after a thumping defeat to Widnes Vikings last week and demonstrate that they are still one of the favourites for promotion.

A number of links offering a livestream of the game have been circulated in social media but the club have stated that none or legitimate and the links could be dangerous.

They said on Twitter:

“PLEASE NOTE: There is no official stream of todays game, no matter how many random bot accounts post to the contrary

“Please DO NOT CLICK any links not officially posted by the club. We will try to remove any spam as quickly as possible.”

There is one game you can watch from the comfort of your own home this week from the Championship with favourites Featherstone hosting Bradford Bulls tomorrow live on ViaPlay.

It is a clash between two teams many believe could secure Super League promotion.

Halifax fans will watch it keenly knowing that it could shed light on potential promotion rivals as the season unfolds.

However their focus will be getting a win today in one of five games played after Toulouse Olympique comprehensively beat Whitehaven yesterday.
