Championship outfit Doncaster have confirmed five signings ahead of the 2025 campaign including former Hull FC and Wakefield Trinity man Josh Bowden. The forward left Wakefield at the end of the campaign and he has now taken up a deal with Doncaster.

Bowden boasts heaps of experience having spent the majority of his career so far with hometown club Hull FC, where he lifted the Challenge Cup on two occasions. He left the Black and Whites in 2022 to join Wakefield Trinity and he had a role to play in helping the club win the Championship title last season, making 31 appearances in total.

However, he left the club at the end of the campaign and he will now be looking to hit form in South Yorkshire under Richard Horne, who he counts as a former teammate having spent time together in the Hull line-up.

In a video posted on X, Bowden said “Really excited about being part of the squad next year and I can’t wait to rip in with the boys and meet all the staff and the fans and get off to a good start.”

Bowden will be joined at the Eco-Power Stadium by Jacob Jones following his release from Leigh Leopards. The second rower joins the Dons having spent last season on loan with London Broncos, where he was a key man.

Isaac Misky also joins the club, making the move over to England for the first time to represent the Championship outfit. Misky represented Saint Gaudens Bears last season but has featured for South Pacific Raiders, Canterbury Bulls and New Zealand Universities in the past.

Papua New Guinea back Edene Gebbie has also signed for Doncaster after leaving Whitehaven at the end of the season, while former Leeds Rhinos and Bradford Bulls man Jordan Baldwinson makes the switch, too.
