The Challenge Cup semi-final draw is complete, and two bumper ties have been picked out of the hat.
St Helens were the first name to be put into the draw following a strong victory over Catalans Dragons. Running in six tries, Paul Rowley’s side secured a 36-4 win over the French side to book their spot in the last four.
Defending Champions Hull KR are still on course to retain their trophy following a comprehensive 48-10 win over York Knights. Getting revenge from their round one defeat, a Tyrone May hat-trick helped the Robins to a comfortable win on home turf.
Warrington Wolves are another team in the hat after a 24-10 win over Leigh Leopards. The game was tense until the final 10 minutes where two tries from veteran Ben Currie sealed a home win for Sam Burgess’ men.
The final quarter-final tie saw Wakefield Trinity welcome Wigan Warriors, who are still playing at the time of writing. Wigan are currently leading 18-16 at half-time, which is when the semi-final draw was made.
Conducted by footballing icon Chris Kamara and Leeds Rhinos legend Jamie Peacock, the draw has pulled out some incredible semi-final ties, with one tie being a repeat of the 2025 final.
Yes, Warrington take on Hull KR for the second Cup campaign in a row. Sam Burgess’ side are in hot form at the minute, but they will face arguably their toughest test of the year on the weekend of May 9/10.
Should they take the win, Wigan will take on local rivals St Helens, however they have to overcome a tense final 40 minutes against Trinity if they are to progress to the last four.
