Castleford Lock Lane are set to be shown on The Sportsman following their incredible exploits against League 1 side Oldham.

The West Yorkshire amateurs overcame three-time Challenge Cup winners Oldham in the second round with a tie against Rochdale Hornets setting the scene for yet another possible giantkilling.

The Royal Navy’s fixture against York Acorn in Portsmouth for a place in the fourth round of the competition will also be featured by the RFL’s Our League web and app later the same day.

BBC Sport will also continue their coverage of the 2022 Betfred Challenge Cup on Sunday, February 13, by showing the all-West Yorkshire third round tie between the semi-professionals Hunslet and the National Conference League amateurs of Siddal.

The tie will kick off at 1pm at the South Leeds Stadium, and will be live on BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport website and app.

Hunslet, who currently play in League 1, have made four Challenge Cup Final appearances, winning the competition in 1908 and at Wembley against Widnes in 1934, and losing 20-16 to Wigan in their last Wembley appearance in 1965.

They beat their League 1 rivals Keighley Cougars 22-6 in the Second Round.

Please refrain from the term ‘amateur’, it’s draconian and has no place in the game!
