Challenge Cup first round draw to be made on Thursday

The draw for the first round of the 2020 Coral Challenge Cup will be made this Thursday at 6:30pm and will be broadcast live on BBC Sport online.

The draw will take place at Bentley ARLFC in Doncaster and involves 44 amateur clubs from all across the United Kingdom and Ireland.

As well as sides from the rugby league heartlands of Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria, the draw will involve several expansion clubs including Longhorns from Ireland, Edinburgh Eagles from Scotland and Rhondda Outlaws and Torfaen Tigers from Wales.

The Tigers are also one of five clubs representing the new Southern Conference League, which recently completed it’s first full season. Hammersmith Hills Hoists, Bedford Tigers, London Chargers and Wests Warriors are the other four clubs.
