Challenge Cup Attendances: Warrington Wolves and Leeds Rhinos post spectator loss as Whitehaven and Barrow numbers impress

With the Challenge Cup Sixth Round done and dusted, there were a number of standout players and a number of standout ties.

Wigan Warriors put Salford Red Devils to the sword on Friday night to kick off the round, putting a 20-0 scoreline on the Red Devils before St Helens overcame a dogged Whitehaven on Saturday afternoon.

Hull KR just about scraped past Leigh Centurions whilst Hull FC were rampant against Sheffield Eagles at Featherstone Rovers’ Millennium Stadium.

Featherstone Rovers put on a mighty showing at Catalans Dragons, eventually going down 27-14 as Castleford Tigers hammered Leeds Rhinos 40-16 on Saturday evening.

Wakefield Trinity were able to overcome Warrington Wolves for the second time in a week thanks to an incredible 16-12 win whilst Championship side Barrow Raiders pushed Huddersfield Giants all the way in a brilliant cup spectacle to round off the weekend’s games.
